If you have had an Eve Taylor Facial please assume the same aftercare and information but change microdermabrasion to exfoliation as they are similar but different strength/level.
What is included in this service (How does it work)?
First we will discuss your skin type and select the range of products that best suit you. We then start with a pre cleanse, removing any makeup or build up. Following with double cleanse to prepare the skin. Then we steam the skin to help you relax and fall into the facial. After that we then go in with the microdermabrassion as a deep exfoliation (or an eve taylor exfoliator). Following that with a masque that will help take any redness from the microdermabrassion/exfoliation away and like all of the products use this will work with your skin type improving and working with it.
What brand do we use?
We use Eve Taylor for our skin care range and we are proud to say that the products follow a criteria of being naturally safe and effective and also adopt a contamination free packaging concept. They do not contain mineral oil, lanolin, alcohol or artificial fragrance and are paraben free. We use diamond tip microdermabrassion this form or microdermabrassion is very gentle if you need a deeper treatment pleae get in contact so we can try to advice you correctly.
What aftercare advice should you follow?
Drinking a lot of water is good for you but it is the best after care we can give for your skin we would advise you drink plenty before and after your facial treatment.
We advise that you use a high SPF on your face every day at least 4 weeks. (Preferably wear SPF all year)
HOW TO TAKE AWAY ERYTHEMA (REDNESS?): When you arrive home after your treatment you can put a clean wet towel or cotton pads into the fridge for as long as you feel needed until you get the correct temperature for you but not uncomfortably cold place it onto your skin we call this a cold compress and it it will take down any erythema (redness).
If you feel that you need to apply moisturiser within 24 hours of having the treatment we advise to use a fragrance free product that is kind to sensitive skin or gentle on the skin, avoid using any AHA BHA or salicylic acid based products. Treat the skin as gentle as possible in the first 24 hours. We understand that you may not have sensitive skin but it can react as if it is sensitive after a facial treatment of any kind and that is how it should be treated.
Avoid for 24-48 hours after:
Wearing make up unless it is mineral makeup, you do risk causing congested or clogged pores by using heavy make up products after a facial.
